AKS 2026-06-19 adds Kubernetes 1.36 GA/LTS, Application Gateway for Containers GA, and several platform updates including FIPS on Ubuntu 22.04, CVM with Azure Linux GA, and multiple CSI/CNI/component patch upgrades. It also changes some defaults and validations, including Istio CNI behavior for new asm-1-30 installs, dual-stack IPv6 CIDR derivation, and stricter checks for gMSA and FIPS/Kata combinations.
